This test identifies if you have been exposed to the tick-borne bacteria that causes Lyme disease.

Recommended For:

Lyme disease is a bacterial infection that is transmitted through a bite from an infected tick. It often creates a bull's eye rash and flu-like symptoms. If left untreated, it can lead to serious health problems. This test identifies if you have been exposed to the bacteria that causes Lyme disease. 

Please note, this test should only be ordered if you have symptoms of Lyme disease including:

  • Bull's eye rash
  • Sore joints
  • Flu-like symptoms such as:
    • Fever
    • Headache
    • Chills
    • Muscle aches
    • Swollen glands

If your results for this test come back positive, you should follow up with a health care provider.

  • Lyme Antibody, IgM
  • Reflexed when appropriate
    • Lyme Antibody, Western Blot IgG
    • Lyme Antibody, Western Blot IgM
