Testing click to expand contents

What does a result that is outside of optimal range mean? click to expand contents

If any of your test results come back as out of range (either too high or too low), they are considered abnormal. If the results are significantly out of range, they are considered critical. We suggest you follow up with a health care provider if any of your test results are abnormal. We suggest you seek medical attention right away if any of your results are critical.

What happens if my results are not normal? click to expand contents

The results of some tests could indicate a serious health issue. If your results are critical for any of these tests, we will contact you on the phone number you provide as soon as we have your results no matter what time of day or night it is. We will also notify you via email that you have results which warrant urgent attention. If any of your results are abnormal (outside of the range considered normal), we will alert you via email that you have results which warrant extra attention.

How long will it take to get my results? click to expand contents

Most test results are available within 24-48 hours. A few tests may take longer to perform. We will alert you via email as soon as your results are ready.

How do I know what's included in the test? click to expand contents

You will find this information in the full test description. If you have any questions beyond what is included in the test description, please call us at 1-844-233-9087. We will be happy to help you.

How do I prepare for the draw? click to expand contents

Most tests do not require any preparation. You simply go to the testing center of your choice and have your sample drawn at a time that is convenient for you. If your test requires you to fast (not eat or drink anything besides water for at least 8 hours before the test), it will be listed in the test description.

How much does it cost? click to expand contents

Prices range from $39 and up, depending on the complexity of the testing.

What happens if I purchase tests or panels with overlapping components? click to expand contents

Sometimes two unique tests or panels may have an overlapping component, such as a glucose contained within two larger panels. If this happens, our lab will measure that specific component once, and return only one result. This prevents the confusion of seeing two separate results that may be slightly different. We recommend that you read and understand each test that is purchased so the duplication of testing doesn’t occur. If you have any questions about certain testing that may overlap, please call Milestone Health Direct at 1-844-233-9087. We would be happy to assist you.

Everyone has different health needs. All of our tests have a description which can guide you to the best testing for your needs. The website labtestonline.org is also a great resource for researching available laboratory testing.

Some results offer a brief interpretation, but most results just give the resulted value. This value can be qualitative (positive/negative) or quantitative (number). If you are interested in more information about your test results, please see a health care provider or go to labtestonline.org.
